VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Mahuli Community Development Center (MCDC) is a non-governmental organization working in Saptari district since 1994. It works for various social developmental activities coordinating with developing partners and government organization. Currently, MCDC is implementing the Welthungerhilfe (WHH) supported project titled “Up-scaling WASH systems strengthening approach in the Terai region of Nepal (NPL1082-22)”. Here, we invite applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens (Aged between 18 to 35 years) for the following position. Position is located in Saptari district and will be based on Project site with frequently visit of the project working area.

Position: WASH Mentor (Logistic Assistant) – 1

The Logistic Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our office administration and procurement activities, ensuring smooth logistics operations, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. Ensure that documentations are in accordance to logistics/procurement policies of the organization and as per donor agreement.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

This will include, but not limited to the following:

Provide logistics support to project Office and field, (Procurement, Supply chain, fleet management, contract, arrange meeting/workshops etc)
Processes procurement of goods and services (PR, CBA, PO, GRN and minute), ensuring adherence to organizational policies for best value, transparency, and accountability.
Support on material distribution, construction items, recording and updating the stock book.
Record and update inventory and assets, ensuring compliance with store management procedures.
Ensure office equipment and machinery items are in good working condition and follow-up for warranty services.
Reporting as per project standard (periodic Logistic report, Contract Follow-up, Equipment List, Fleet, Stock)
Proactively support to the project team for the smooth implementation of the activities.
Provide Support to Admin/Finance (organize filing system & other admin related work etc)

Requirements and Qualifications

A minimum Intermediate (+2 passed out or bachelor’s degree will be preferable) in Finance, Management or equivalent with at least 2 years experienced in supply chain management and administrative and financial management preferably in NGO/INGO
Good verbal and written communication skills are important for interacting with team members, suppliers, and customers.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with logistics software, add an advantage.
Knowledge of FAMAS accounting software will add an advantage.
Having valid two-wheeler driving license and able to ride a two-wheeler in rural environment.
Speaking & report writing in English, Nepali, and local languages is preferable.
Should have Flexibility in work, willingness to travel extensively in the project locations and ability to work under high pressure.
Local residents will be given more preference.
